Wednesday

one beginnings end

so i dont seem to have as much time to blog as id hoped right now, so i'm not sure if this will be daily, weekly, or what.

but i have some time now so i figured id write an update.

i've decided to change my font up a bit for now and see how things go.
anywhooooo

today wasn't one of those days where i woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but i didnt necessarily think it would be anything too great either. i'm not sure if i've mentioned this before, but on my left hand bedside table i have a clock that projects the time on the ceiling when all of the lights are out. the display on the clock itself is really nice and huge and simple, and it also tells me what day of the week it is which can be nice (or not) when i wake up for school. as far as the projection goes, it has some great features. you can move the projection forwards and backwards, enlarge it or make it smaller, and change the color between red, green, and blue LED lighting. i personally use red because i can see it best but sometimes blue is a good choice if you are looking for something more calming. if you don't have one of these i HIGHLY recommend getting one it keeps me on tap even when im asleep. here is the one that i have.
i know however that you can get them in various shapes, sizes, and brands.

anyways now that i have advertised a little bit, ill go on with my story. basically the ONE and only one downfall to this clock is that when i wake up every hour i defenitely know it because it is screaming at me on the ceiling. but what i have realized is that since school has started i physically cannot sit my body up and get out of bed before 7:10 am. i wish i was kidding but i wake up around 7 every morning and literally stare at the clock until 7:10 when i miraculously have a smidgen of energy to get up. yesterday, mom took me out and bought me a really fab new dress (on a huge sale of course) and i wore it today becausee..... today was senior commisioning. basically a formal ceremony naming us the senior class of 2010. so i got up, did the usual morning routine, makeup and getting dressed, and hobbled out to the kitchen where i had a really delicious breakfast. scrambled eggs, incredible toast from the fresh market, and yummy blackberrys. and of course my TAZO AWAKE TEA :)

per usual time goes by very quickly in the morning and i scurried off to school. CONS TO WEARING FABULOUS SILK DRESSES TO SCHOOL IN SEPTEMBER IN FLORIDA: its so fucking hot that it just creates one more sauna.

so i had a few classes and then this ceremony. it was very weird being in that spot, since i have seen 3 classes do it before me. it never was important before but now i understand it. it really start's my beginning's end. its insane to think about.

after the ceremony i went for lunch to our favorite "special day" bistro, the lemon tree with s and her mom, and h and her mom. it was a lot of fun (not to mention missing some school). i had a cup of chicken vegetable soup, my usual at LT, and the most DELICIOUS crab cakes. they were really cooked to perfection and i couldn't have enjoyed them more. and a lemon sorbet to finish it off and cleanse my pallet. aaah the joys of hometown bistros.

going back to school was fine but nothing too exciting.
i then proceeded to come home, hang out with my dog, and get ready for the gym. i still find myself choosing staff shirts for the gym over anything else -- i miss being in them 24/7.
i got into the car, popped in one of my cd's from larsen and began the drive to the gym.
i did a tough 30 minute eliptical session with lots of incline changes and resistance changes etc. while watching oprah. it was one of those "viewers biggest dreams ones" and the sap that i am, i of course cried, on the eliptical. go me.

after that i did a tutor session, came home, did all my work, and had dinner. panko encrusted chicken with lemon, broccoli, and cranberry. yum! i can honestly say anything with lemon is a big plus in my book, but this is one of my all-time favorite dinners!

so at this point im going to wrap it up for the night. im hoping to be able to blog like this in some manner more often because i know if nothing else im going to like to look back on it when the year is over.

for now, im freshly showered, happy as a clam, and getting ready to curl up with my new favorite obsession, "the time traveler's wife". saw the movie first (minor mistake) but i am already sucked in and ive read 10 pages so i can't wait to see how the story unfolds book style.

off to bed! gnight.

enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. lalalala
