Hi.
I haven't blogged in a while and I figured I would jump back in tonight.
i realized that its been a year since i started this puppy. i began it homecoming week of last year and here we are, on the eve of my last homecoming week. i was actually a little bit funny then which is surprising because i am really un-funny. my blog has actually had NO track at all and some stuff i wrote about was really depressing and some stuff was really light but still i've loved it so far and plan to continue.
about this weekend:
friday night began with some queen duties. nothing exciting, just a "hello, so nice to be here" and then i left. off to the melting part for js's bday. i loooooooove the melting pot so much its unreal. the way that the fondue melts in my mouth...mmmmmm. it was a lot of fun, not to mention the complimentary jumbo strawberry mango margarita we somehow scored. then for a little girl time at the vb hotel which i loved. i miss my blonde balance and am glad we are embracing it again.
then at the crack of dawn i had to get up to take my puppy to the vet. she's had three surgeries the past few weeks (a knee replacement, and a tumor removed) and now she was getting this tumor further removed because it was cancerous :(. im picking her up tomorrow and can't wait to give her some TLC. at 10 i started new job #1. its at a boutique in town, and i love retail and fashion. not to mention a 30% off discount. wahooo. t came in and we chatted for about two hours before i got off work and we headed for some sushi. dancing tuna roll is my new favorite. i was dying. i added some tempura flakes to it and it was settled. then i came home and watched a say yes to the dress marathon. i LOVE say yes to the dress. i've always kind of been obsessed with weddings, my favorite movie is father of the bride. so say yes to the dress is just another thing to feed my addiction. i love to look at all the dresses and fantasize about when its my time. the temperature was going down which got me really excited. i went out for a movie with my friends, and saw where the wild things are. i loved that book as a kid and was so excited to see the movie. i really enjoyed it, such an indie flair to it. but i wouldnt have been able to handle that kind of...intensity as a kid. it was kind of like a dream though. then we went to s's house and enjoyed the brand new cold weather. m&d have gone away and i slept in their bed last night to enjoy the tv. more say yes to the dress if you can believe it. i woke up this morning and could breathe easier, feeling the humidity going away. i spent the morning with a little bit of tv and two cups of my favorite awake. got dressed in my "happy" sweater, jeans, and my brand new boots. i had some more tea, opened the doors, and let the sounds of ben folds, john mayer, and regina spektor calm me some more before i headed off to job #2 ala kids boutique. because of the town i live in, sunday business isn't so good. no customers today, but i was able to get a lot of school work done so that was nice. came home and relaxed and then had dinner with the gparents. it was nice to see them. and now im home, awaiting the start of tomorrow.
you know whats funny? how things work out. i know that sounds so "duh" worthy but i feel like there are so many things in my life that i wouldnt have ever expected. relationships that started on the wrong foot and now just are a comfort. relationships that got complicated and now exist rarely. relationships that don't make sense to the public, but make sense to me. i also think its funny how things would be different in different atmospheres. thats all im going to say about that right now.
i promise that i will blog tomorrow, just to carry on the tradition. until then.
enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. lalala.
