changing the world pt. 1

so i had this whole plan for today's blog entry, to talk about the details of my week. to talk about non-sense that some people like reading. but the thing is, all that stuff is unimportant. not that i won't talk about it, but right now my mind is somewhere else, somewhere important, that needs to be addressed.

maybe it sounds cliche, maybe because its a popular thing to do right now, but i want to be a part of changing the world. yes, absolutely our country is going through some hard times, and we need to worry about our homes. yes of course. but in so many other places in the world, people fantasize about having the lives WE ALL live.

and the truth is, some people don't believe we can help. but if each person on this country, just did one small thing, something could happen.

i'm passionate about many, many causes, but in this blog, im going to talk about one in particular. this cause being Invisible Children . Just take five minutes out of your day to learn about this cause. It benefits what is being called "one of the worst humanitarian crisis's this world has ever seen."

Invisible Children focuses on the unseen war in Northern Uganda. Thousands of people have been displaced to IDP Camps, and are just that, Internally Displaced. The LRA are terrorizing these displaced peoples, in many ways. It's not that this conflict is bad, it's that it just can't happen anymore. These camps are filled with orphans, widows, people who have nobody. People suffering from diseases and have no way to get treatment. People are dying everyday.

This needs to change. Simple as that. Invisible Children was started by three young guys who traveled to Africa and documented the crisis. And they are starting to change the world.

So I ask you to look into your hearts. I ask you to take five minutes and learn about this. I ask you to get involved.

We can all change the world, if we all just try.

SALAAM
enjoy the power and beauty of your youth lalalala.
